The first season of CoD: Modern Warfare 3 features a gunfight, new maps, and a more zombie-focused plot.

On December 6, Modern Warfare 3’s first complete season will premiere. The most recent Call of Duty blog post detailed what gamers may anticipate from Season 1 of multiplayer and zombies. The major update adds a new story act, another Warlord fortress for Zombies to conquer, and the first batch of entirely new multiplayer maps.
Despite all the game’s difficulties thus far, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is racking up many player hours. The numbers support the claim that gamers still set records for hours played in the game despite the unfavourable press around the shooter. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 shattered player engagement records for the reboot trilogy, and even bad previews couldn’t hold down sales numbers.
It might be a little harsh to suggest that Modern Warfare 3 has ups and downs. The Call of Duty immediately let players down the Modern Warfare 3 campaign because it was a short, five-hour (on average) plot. Players even unintentionally bombed the 2011 game edition due to the backlash. However, things have calmed down as the online multiplayer has been a big hit.
According to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s official social media account, “players racked up the most hours per player for a new premium Call of Duty release during the holiday weekend since 2019.” The first game in the new trilogy, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, was released as a premium title in 2019. On Thursday, November 30, Call of Duty’s social media account challenges players to break the record as it prepares to add the wildly popular map, Shipment, to the playlists.

The first season of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will have a new battle pass to level up and unlock more weapons and cosmetics, as is to be anticipated with a new season of Call of Duty. Dokkaebi and Nolan are the new operators for this season. Nine aftermarket components are unlocked, and five new guns will be tried in Season 1.

The $30 premium BlackCell pass is also back, with additional tier skips, the new Abolisher operator, different BlackCell-exclusive skins obtained during the pass, and more.

With seasonal reskins of existing maps, Season 1 of multiplayer has three entirely new core 6v6 maps and one 2v2 map. Call of Duty’s fast-paced 2v2 combat on compact battlefields, known as Gunfight mode, is back. Four vintage Gunfight maps will now be available, along with the recently released Training Facility map.
There are new game modes in this season. The original Modern Warfare 3 featured a free-for-all option called All or Nothing, which had a relatively constrained loadout. Later in the season, a brand-new Vortex mode centred around the Ray Gun from Zombies will be available.

There were two new killstreaks revealed. The Swarm, which drops a swarm of mosquito drones over a predetermined region, can be obtained with 15 kills or 1,875 points. The electromagnetic pulse (EMP), which may be obtained at 13 kills or 1,625 points, disrupts opponent equipment and killstreaks.

There is a new tale act for the zombies to finish, carrying over the plot from the previous three acts. Players can explore and interact with new end-game content through a gigantic gateway that appears on the map.

Dark Aether Rifts are a new addition for Season 1. These are characterised as maze-like encounters that test squads’ ability to finish several tasks within the allotted time. Gaining new rewards requires finishing these rifts. The V-R11 Wonder Weapon, new schematics to unlock, and a new Warlord fortress to infiltrate are all included in the update.

Additional shop bundles for Santa, Dune, and The Boys were revealed. Players also anticipate new daily, prestige, and seasonal challenges.

December 6 marks the release of Warzone’s Season 1 update, which includes the integration of Modern Warfare 3 with the recently released Urzikstan map. Deer hunting and an LTM featuring a Zombie Santa are part of Warzone’s Christmas festivities.
